Eugene Chan is a behavioral scientist whose work sits at the intersection of psychology, technology, and design. He studies how people form trust, attachment, and resistance toward intelligent systems — translating those behavioral mechanisms into practical frameworks for product teams and decision‑makers.
Through Behavioral Patch, Eugene applies his diagnostic approach to decode real human behavior around AI — helping readers see not just what technology does, but how people respond to it, and how those responses can be measured, managed, and designed for.
He holds a PhD from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, a MA from the University of Chicago, and a AB from the University of Michigan. Has has previously served on the business school faculties of University of Technology Sydney, Monash University, Purdue University, and Toronto Metropolitan University, and has been ranked as one of the Top 2% of the world’s scientists in business psychology.
